What is CAD?
CAD stands for "Computer-Aided Design". CAD software lets you design the parts that you want to cut out. An example of this software is AutoCAD which has been around for ages.
What is Nesting & CAM?
Nesting is the act of placing parts in a certain arrangement on a sheet to minimize material waste. With nesting software you select the parts your parts, and it automatically arrange them for you, based on quantity and shape. CAD stands for "Computer-Aided Manufacturing". CAM software is where you convert a drawing to G-code. G-code is a language for CNC machinery that basically gives them the co-ordinates and cut speeds for the CAD drawing.
